Plunco is producing plungers for glass packaging industry worldwide.
We are using best raw materials which are available in the market. We are using latest CNC machines, HVOF coating technology and laser scanning systems for quality control. Our quality management system is certified.
Our product range is Blow Blow plungers, Press Blow plungers and Narrow Neck Press Plungers.
Our base materials are Laminar Cast Iron, Nodular Cast Iron, AISI 8620, Stainless Stell grades, Stell grades according to customer design and wishes. We have almost 80 - 100 tonnes of different material in different diameters in our workshop stock.
Our powders are in three different main groups:
4 types of Nickel based powders for hardness range 32 HRc - 64 HRc
3 types of Tungsten Carbide / Nickel powders for hardness range 56 - 62 HRc
2 types of Tungsten Carbide / Cobalt powders for hardness range 58 - 63 HRc
We keep four tonnes of different powders in our workshop stock.
We use HVOF technology for coating purposes, advantages of HVOF technology are listed below:
better wear resistance, toughness, surface finnish, corrosion resistance, residual stress, higher density, bond strength, coating thickness.
All of this advantages make plungers last longer and less defects.
We invested in our gas systems for improving our coating process. We installed a 5 m3 LPG reservoir tank and 7 m3 O2 reservoir tank. Our gas system keeps all pressures constant in all wheather conditions and in different usages.
We developed our own welding system to keep constat coating thickness and hardness by implementing CNC robotic technology.
We are using polishing systems developed in home to achieve desired surface roughness . They are using CNC robotic technogy to remove vertical tool marks on the plungers .
We have several tools for measuring surface roughness , to measure coating thickness and a laser scanning system for accurate and fast dimensional control which makes 100 % quality control possible .
