IGK 130 Polyurethane Edge Sealant

IGK 130 is a two-component sealant, which was developed especially as a secondary sealant for multi-pane insulating glass. The product is solvent-free and contains absolutely no mercury-containing catalysts – which has been the case since 2001.

IGK 130 is characterised by its extremely good mechanical properties, optimal viscosity and very low water vapour and gas permeability. The service life of the mixers  is extremely long.

The product can be applied without primer to glass and spacers in accordance with the usual guidelines. Its special rheological properties mean IGK 130 is perfect for both machine processing and manual feeding systems.

IGK 311 Polysulfide Edge Sealant

IGK 311 is a solvent-free two-component sealant and adhesive made with polysulfide, which was developed especially as a secondary sealant and to connect multi-pane insulating glass.

IGK 311 is characterised by its above-average adhesion and very good water vapour- and gas retention rates.

The product can be processed using all conventional two-component mixing and dosing machines and two-component manual systems. IGK 311 adheres to all conventional clean, dry, grease-free and oil-free base coats used in the insulating glass industry.

IGK 711 Hotmelt

IGK 711 is a single component, high class hotmelt system designed for use and application as secondary seal in insulating glass systems. It can be used with box-, flexible foam- and u-shaped spacers made of metal and or coextruded metal/plastic spacer bars.

The focus of the development of this new product has been put onto a homogeneous melting and cooling behavior over wide range of temperature including an outstanding green strength early in the process of cooling.

Initial grip combined with high tackiness characterize  its application on glass and spacer bar. Once cooled down to room temperature IGK 711 offers high bond strength to guarantee high mechanical strength for early manipulation of the IG-unit.

Packaging
200 litre (55 gallons) drum

Storage and transportation:
At least 1 year when stored between +10°C and +25°C (+50°F and +77°F)

About us

Company details

Since 1988: Insulating glass sealants Made in Germany
Isolierglasklebstoffe GmbH was founded in 1988 by the chemist Dr. Michael Vollrath-Rödiger and is now an SME based in Hasselroth near Frankfurt am Main.

Supported by our technical knowledge, driven by ecological spirit and with a sense of economic feasibility, we launched mercury-free polyurethane on the market back in 2001 – a product which placed us far ahead of our time. From the very beginning, IGK has been able to constantly increase its national and international market share and is now the European market leader of insulating glass sealants produced from polyurethane.

Streamlined Structures, High Productivity
IGK only develops and produces its products at its headquarters in Hasselroth, where our marketing and sales activities are also managed. Thanks to our streamlined structures, we achieve a high degree of productivity. Thanks to short decision-making channels, your questions and requirements can be quickly and authoritatively answered.

Constant Growth
The number of countries that we are represented in, is also growing with demand. In order to continue to supply our increasingly large customer base, in a needs-oriented manner, we are continually investing in increasing our productivity and capacity. So, we recently built two new tanks and silos, widely automated our production processes, and increased our staff in sales as well as in development and technology.

Quality that gets you further
In order for you to always receive expert answers to your questions, we provide our employees with continual training and further education. Our service goes out of its way to find the right solution for even the most specific needs. And our research and development department ensures, that IGK can continue to be in the future what it is currently: an innovator and pioneer for even better solutions for insulating glass sealants and adhesives.
